Jessie Maron
Jessie Maron is a homeschooling parent to four children. She began her homeschooling journey five school years ago, and enjoys seeing her children increase in knowledge, life-skills, daily disciplines, and experience. Jessie is also a self-employed Nutrition Consultant currently studying to earn her Maters of Science in Nutritional Counseling. Previously Jessie was an Assistant Director for TEAM International, a non-profit organization where she worked on budgeting, fundraising, leadership development and organizational development. She currently holds a Bachelor of Art in Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University.

Arlene Nelson
Arlene Nelson is a homeschooling grandparent who also homeschooled her own children. Through her conscientious implementation of curriculum, she has mentored two of her grandchildren throughout their active participation in the charter school’s National Junior Honor Society. Arlene is well versed in different educational styles and understands the significance of tailoring each individual student’s educational path to their learning strengths. Arlene is also an Account Manager at a CPA firm and has served two years on the Blue Ridge board.

Nicole Zolfo is a proud homeschooler to her elementary school son and an enthusiastic guide to her daughter in college. Nicole finds joy in watching her children grow in their academic potential and social responsibility toward a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable world. Nicole holds certifications in Industrial and Organizational Psychology as well as Health and Nutrition Life Coaching. Nicole has a Doctorate in Psychology and is currently a faculty psychology instructor at University of the People. Nicole is inspired daily by her husband and their two children. In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading, running, creative projects, and family vacations.

May Hampton
May Hampton is a homeschool grandparent and guardian to an 8th grade student. May is also a Talent Manager who works with a talent agent and directors for child actors and actresses. She previously worked for M & J Management and represented thousands of children in show business. May enjoys volunteering with a number of organizations including the Pasadena Senior Center, Pasadena School District and the Braille Institute.

The Role of the Blue Ridge Academy Board of Directors is to provide big picture oversight and checks and balances for the school. They also ensure that Blue Ridge Academy is responsive to the values, beliefs and priorities of their community. Day-to-day operations and decisions have been delegated to the school administration by the Board of Directors.
